7 Embroidery Flower Patterns For Beginners

Flowers are probably the most common patterns you’ll see online. And that’s no coincidence! Embroidery lends itself well to floral and botanical imagery. There are lots of stitches that can be used to impersonate flower petals, stamens, stems, etc. In this post I wanted to share with you 7 embroidery flower patterns for beginners.

All of the patterns use basic, beginner friendly stitches to complete the pattern. Basic doesn’t mean boring though! As you can see, all of these designs look great even though they’re not super hard to stitch!

All of the patterns are considered beginner friendly because they use basic embroidery stitches that are easy to learn, and they also come with step by step instructions that will walk you through exactly how to complete the pattern.

Beginner Daisy Embroidery Pattern

This pattern is really fun and only uses a handful of easy stitches to complete it. Take the overwhelm out of learning: this project can be completed in a weekend and you’ll have a something cute that you created to hang on the wall or place on a shelf!

Wildflower Bouquet Embroidery Pattern

This beginner flower embroidery pattern uses a nice variety of stitches that add a lot of interest and texture into the design. It may look a bit more complicated, but I promise that as a beginner you’ll be able to complete this project! It will take a bit more time than the first two, but it’s definitely fun and worth it.

Summer Floral Bouquet Pattern

This colorful floral bouquet has a good assortment of embroidery stitches and a great variety of colors used in it! The pattern is for a 6 inch embroidery hoop and it’s very satisfying to stitch.

Floral Spray Pattern

This was one of the first floral embroidery patterns I developed, and it was my favorite one to stitch. I love the large flowers included in this design!

Home Pansy Embroidery Pattern

This pattern fits in a 3 x 5 inch oval hoop or a 5 inch circular embroidery hoop and it even includes a link to a bonus video tutorial for completing the pattern! If you’re more a visual learner, this pattern will be great for you.

Dried Rose Embroidery Pattern

This pattern uses a couple of different stitches to accentuate the different petals in the roses, and it’s a super fun one! The finishing touch of course is the little orange bow tying the stems together.
