Needlepoint Ideas [6 Fun and Modern Projects To Make]
Needlepoint is such a fun needlecraft that is making a comeback. However, it can sometimes be hard to find patterns and projects that are modern-looking. I’ve done some searching around and today I wanted to share with you some fresh needlepoint ideas and projects that are definitely worth stitching!
The first two projects are free, and the last 4 are kits you can purchase and make from independent artists on Etsy.

Needlepoint Purse
The first project is this absolutely beautiful needlepoint purse project. (It’s free!) You can easily find the purse handles and plastic needlepoint canvas at places like Joann’s or Hobby Lobby. The pattern used in this purse is relatively simple but it looks so cute!
Needlepoint Coasters
The next project is this needlepoint coaster tutorial that’s available here at Crewel Ghoul. It uses the cashmere needlepoint stitch and a border stitch to make it, and it’s a project that doesn’t take very long if you’re looking for a quick project that’s a less involved!
Bargello Wall Hangings
Bargello is one of my favorite styles of needlepoint. The colors and patterns you can make with it are just so vibrant and fun! It was a popular style of needlepoint in the 60s and is making a comeback yet again. You can purchase both of the kits pictured above on Oh Sew Bootiful’s Etsy. (Daisy Kit and Geometric Kit)
Needlepoint Pillows
Sozo DIY makes these adorable pillow kits that come with everything you need to make the pillow. The designs include a cat, sloth, unicorn, lucky cat, and polar bear!
Hope these needlepoint ideas looked interesting to you. I plan to keep adding to this list once I make more needlepoint projects to share. Enjoy!
