How to Do a Back Stich
Bring the thread through to the front of the fabric
Skip a bit of space and make a straight stitch.
Skip an equal amount of space (the same length as your first stitch) and come up through the fabric.
Make another straight stitch, this time backwards, touching the first straight stitch you made.
