How to Do The Embroidery Scroll Stitch
<< Back To All Embroidery Stitches
Scroll stitch is a great little embroidery stitch to add something extra to a border. It forms what look to be embroidered waves, and it is somewhat similar in appearance to the coral stitch or the Palestrina stitch.

- Come up at A and make a loop with your thread along the surface of the fabric. The end of the working thread should be on top.
- Place the needle through the loop at B and C and gently pull the thread so a little knot forms. Don’t pull too tight though or you’ll pucker the fabric and lose the form of the stitch!
- Move one stitch length ahead, and repeat steps 1 and 2 the desired length.
