Stitch Along – Lemon Citrus Embroidery Pattern
On a whim, I decided I wanted to stitch a lemon pattern. It’s inspired by the wallpaper in a bakery that I thought was just the cutest! This is a free stitch along that I’ll be going through step by step. If you’d like the pdf pattern, you can download it here!
I used a 5 inch embroidery hoop and off white linen for this project. I used a few different shades of yellow and orange for the lemons and a cool green for the leaves. For the stencil, I traced it on with a water soluble fabric marker.
To create a few different textures, I used a back stitch, chain stitch, and split stitch for the lemons.
For the leaves, I used a herringbone stitch. When stitching the chain stitch, I staggered the stitches.
This project was really fun, and it uses fairly easy stitches. I hope you enjoy the pattern! If you’d like to share your finished project tag me on instagram @crewelghoul and use the hashtag #CGembroidery
